With many years experience of Secondary School teaching across a range of subjects from Religious Studies to History to Geography to PE, and responsibility roles including Vocational Learning Coordinator and Head of Year, Michael made the step into education marketing in 2006. School Mailings, an education marketing agency, was born.
It is this knowledge of education, and passion to help clients bring the best products and services to UK Schools, that has helped Michael grow School Mailings into a forward thinking, industry leading education marketing agency.
With a vision to provide the most accurate data, and top quality email and postal mail campaigns, Michael started to work with clients across the UK to help them maximise return on investment from their marketing campaigns. Since then, the business has achieved milestones including;
2009 – We developed our industry leading data collection team. Consisting today of a team of 12, our data management team are responsible for collecting, checking and updating our 83 million pieces of education data on a daily basis.
2010 – The business moved into large, modern premises able to accommodate our growing team and provide clients with a welcoming space to meet us. This base has been at the core of our growth ever since. We are proud to be based in Chorley, a market town in central Lancashire, and continue to support this thriving community through various initiatives from our sponsorship of local charities to involvement in the town’s football club.
2012 – We ran an ‘out of this world’ email campaign for Sun-Maid Raisins. Looking to promote their healthy raisin snacks to UK Primary Schools, Sun-Maid received enquiries from an incredible 761 Schools off a single email campaign. 2013 – Our UK Schools Data surpassed 300,000 named teachers and decision makers. Thanks to our unique online system allowing teachers to update their own details, and the many hours of hard work put in by our data management team, we now have industry leading levels of data coupled with a 99% Accuracy Guarantee that we offer to all clients.
2014 – School Mailings brought a team of marketing specialists onboard to support the continued growth of the business. Specifically, we were now working with huge brands including Apple, Oxfam, Puma and ITV, and our team of specialists were able to support the work of these organisations.
2015 – We worked with client number 5,000 on their Schools Marketing AND sent our first mobile optimised email campaign to UK Schools. As the numbers of teachers and decision makers reading emails on mobile devices increases (58% outside of school hours), our ability to make client emails mobile ready ensures they get fantastic results from their marketing campaigns.
2016 – With the launch of the new School Mailings website to push the business forward and a desire to continue setting new standards, we have exciting plans in place for the future as we strive to continue being the leading education marketing agency.
